Apsis Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Apsis project ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information about users of the website apsis.blog and the Apsis mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Information you provide: your name; date and time of birth; the city (coordinates and time zone) of your birth; gender. This information is required to calculate the natal chart and a personal forecast.
  • Account data: email address and, when you sign in with Google, your name, email and Google account identifier. If you register with email, we store only an irreversible password hash.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser details, request date and time, and authorization tokens. These are used to operate the Service, prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
  • Web analytics data: when you use the website, cookies and visit statistics (pages viewed, referral source, device type) collected through Google Analytics and Yandex Metrika.

In the app, profile data and the forecast cache may be stored locally on your device (local database). This data is sent to our server to calculate the chart and forecast. We do not collect precise device location (GPS) and do not request such permissions.

2. How we use the data

  • to calculate your natal chart and generate a personal daily forecast;
  • to create and maintain your account, sign you in and keep your profile across devices;
  • to operate, support and improve the Service (including in aggregated form);
  • for security, fraud prevention and rate limiting;
  • to contact you regarding the operation of the Service.

Our legal bases for processing are your consent, performance of the agreement for using the Service, and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and functional.

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Data may be shared with the following categories of recipients solely to operate the Service:

  • Google LLC — Google Sign-In and web analytics (Google Analytics);
  • Yandex — web analytics (Yandex Metrika) on the website;
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers — the servers and databases on which the Service is hosted;
  • Public authorities — only where required by law.

No personal data of users is used when creating content. When data is transferred to the Google and Yandex platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

4. Retention and security

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active, or until you withdraw consent or request deletion. Certain technical logs are retained for a limited period necessary for security and diagnostics.

We apply reasonable organizational and technical safeguards: data transfer over HTTPS and hashing of passwords and tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • correct inaccurate data in your profile or by contacting us;
  • delete your account and the associated data;
  • withdraw your consent to data processing;
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

6. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or another age established by applicable law). We do not knowingly collect data from such children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Cookies

The website uses analytics cookies to collect anonymous visit statistics. You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Service will keep working, although some analytics features may be unavailable.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page with its effective date. We will endeavor to notify you of material changes.
